A bit of an unfair review to open the box and give it a few strums and post a review based on just that. No string stretch, tightening tuner screws, nothing. Most every new guitar needs some tweaking and a few days to break-in before posting a bad review. I've got some more costly guitars and I've had this Epiphone SG for 5 years and I really enjoy playing it. I will probably upgrade only the tuners, but I like it fine as is. Pretty solid guitar for the price. And I really appreciate the light weight...very comfortable to play.

I always thought it was because both brothers were in the band. I knew David Lee named the band. I also thought that David knew the band would not be even close to the same without Eddie so he did what made sense in naming the band after the brothers who were the driving force and the musical talent of that group

Sammy is right. With his previous success he was steering the band in the right directions. This isn't an anti- DLR bc he left but Van Halen was surviving changes in the music scene ECT but the band went downhill once that manger stepped in.

There are MANY good epiphones. Go try the one you want to buy at a store. Touch it, feel it, play it. If that one does not suit you try another one. Even in the same year/ model.

I bought this guitar and I changed the pickguard for a red tortoise one and the only thing I need is to change the pickups but I don't have the money hahaha

I remember watching this with my best friend Mike when this aired back in 2015. We grew up listening to his genius and were SO EXCITED to get to hear him, and JUST him, speaking from the heart. Mike was struggling with addiction at the time and he commented how amazing it was that Eddie got clean and was still so sharp. We all lost Eddie in 2020, and then I lost my friend, from a relapse to addiction in 2022. Every time I see this interview, I remember sitting with Mike and feeling like everything could finally be OK. Eddie - Thank you for ALL the creativity you gave us, and the memories.
